Breaststroke Classes
If you want your child to learn how to swim the breaststroke effectively—whether to improve their technique or as a beginner—then these courses are right for you.
We place great importance on helping children develop proper body tension, extension, and the self-confidence needed to move freely in the water without fear.
Your child will learn breaststroke and basic backstroke at the same time.
We’re also happy to administer the Seepferdchen certification during the course!

Aquatike Ages 3–5
Here, we start with what we call Level I for all children aged 3 to 4.99 years. At SSI Swim School, our focus is on teaching safety in and around the water.
During these sessions, parents do not enter the water. They sit next to the pool.
The child now learns to swim independently and stay afloat. Skills are taught according to the child’s age. This takes place in small groups, progressing slowly from relaxation in the water to the basics of various swimming strokes. As soon as a child reaches the next level—either by mastering the skills or due to age—they automatically move up.
The basic skills of breathing, diving, gliding, jumping, moving, rolling, and turning are taught in Aquatike I and Aquatike II and further developed starting in Aquatike III.
If your child does not yet feel ready to go into the water without Mom or Dad, please book a parent-child course or private lessons to help them adjust to being separated! We appreciate your understanding.
Final Goals:
Aquatike I – Swimmers can swim 2 meters using the “grab-and-pull” technique, demonstrate breath control by counting to 10 with their face in the water, and float independently on their back while counting to 5.
Aquatike II – These swimmers must be able to swim 3
meters using a windmill arm stroke and demonstrate the ability to roll over independently to breathe.
Aquatike III - By the end of the course, Aquatike III swimmers should be able to swim 6 meters using the windmill stroke, roll over on their own to breathe, and continue swimming using the windmill stroke until they reach the designated goal.
